Is Jesus both Father and Son?

There is just one God. He is our creator. He moved on Mary and she bore a son. The Son was not only conceived by God, but God dwelled in Him. Jesus was both God and man, Father and Son. The Bible clearly establishes that while Jesus is the Son of God (human flesh); He is also our heavenly Father (Spirit).

A. The Son will be called the mighty God and everlasting Father.

Isaiah 9:6

…a child is born, unto us a son…and his name shall be called…The mighty God, The everlasting Father…

B. God is our one Father because He created us. Jesus is our creator (manifest in flesh) and thus our Father.

Malachi 2:10

Have we not all one father? hath not one God created us?...

Colossians 1:15-17

Who is the image of the invisible God…For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible…all things were created by him, and for him: And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.

C. Jesus claimed to be the Father because the Father (God) dwelled in Him. Our human spirits dwell in us bodily making us one being. The Divine Spirit dwelled in Him bodily.

John 14:7-10

Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me…he that hath seen me hath seen the Father…the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works.

2 Corinthians 5:19

To wit, that God was in Christ…

Colossians 2:9

For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily

D. The Alpha and Omega said that He would be our God and we would be His sons. Jesus is the Alpha and Omega.

Revelation 1:7-8

Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him…I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty

Revelation 21:6-7

I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely. He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.

.E. The Alpha and Omega, Jesus, said that he was both the root (source/Father) and offspring (descendent/son) of David.

Revelation 22:13, 16

I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last…I Jesus…am the root and the offspring of David

F. When we truly understand and abide in the Biblical doctrine of Christ, we have both Father and Son.

2 John 1:9

He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son.
